Portrait Sessions that are undeniably…you.

Not your average portraits. Think less perfectly posed, more perfectly you. A little nostalgic, a little cinematic, and entirely your own.

You don’t need a special occasion to book a session..

.. and you definitely don’t need to stand in a random field and force a smile for an hour.

Most of my portrait sessions are built around actually doing something — wandering through the woods, going on a hike, riding your horse, bringing the dog, getting a little windblown, making a day of it.

I’ll give you direction when you need it, but the goal is never to make you feel overly posed or like you’re performing for the camera. These stills are meant to look and feel like you.

I want the session itself to feel like an experience, and the photos to feel more like stills pulled from a movie than a traditional portrait session.

Movement. Textures. Atmosphere. The stuff that makes an image feel like there was a whole story happening around it.

That’s the good stuff.

How It Works

Here you’ll add some basic info. Scroll down to List of Services and select one of the “Portrait Session” services that you wish to book. You can also select more than one! And don’t worry - you wont be charged! This just gives you an idea on cost for each service. After you hit submit, i’ll be in touch!
Once I receive your contact form, I will reach out within 48 hours to plan a call. The purpose of this call is just to get to know each other! We’ll discuss your vision, chat locations and lock in a date. This is also a great time to collectively view any inspo you might have!
After our call, you will be invited to book your session! You will receive an invoice with payment options. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due to secure your booking. Once your deposit is received, your session is locked in.
Today’s the day! Please make sure to arrive 5 minutes early before your session starts.
Within 24 hours of your session, you will receive a few edited sneak peaks! These will be a few of my personal favorites from our session, but will also give you an idea on what the edited finals will look like.
Within 2 weeks of your session, you will receive an email with a link to your gallery. This will be the same gallery you would have access to review your sneak peaks. At this stage, I have done a first cull of your photos - fancy way to say I’ve gotten rid of the photos with eyes shut, funny faces, or images that didnt make the cut.
Important to note: these are RAW images which means they are not edited. There will be over 100 photos to choose from and you’ll be able to select your favorites. Once I receive your list of favorites, I begin the editing process.
Once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive another email with your final digital images. Here you will have the chance to make your downloads, and decide if you’d like to make any upgrades such as extra digitals or prints.

Frequently Asked Questions

Portrait sessions start at $400. Mini Sessions are $250. Please check the services list for a full price breakdown. A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.
Depending on the type of portrait session, each package offers different deliverables. For a list of services, please click here.
Delivery for final galleries are 2 weeks, but I can typically deliver them quicker than that! Your images will be delivered to you through a private online gallery. 3 Days after your session, you will receive your images to select your favorites. These images will not be edited. Once I receive your favorites, I’ll start the editing process on your gallery. There will be edited samples for you to get an idea on what your final images will look like before deciding on your favorites.
This totally depends on the session! I’m always interested to know what you’re interested in and if you have any favorite places. I think true magic happens in a third place.
Depending on the style of shoot, I may have you bring some props that help tell your story. But we can chat this through on our vision call!
Outside of pet portraits, for humans, for any specific touch up requests, these must be discussed on our discovery call. I will generally edit out blemishes, fly away hairs (if it’s doable) and any other distractions in photos. My editing style is very forgiving for skin tones by smoothing out most inconsistencies. I believe in natural beauty and will not be making harsh edits to portraits.
I’ll be checking the weather closer to our shoot day. If rain isn’t the vibe, i’m totally happy to reschedule for some better weather! But sometimes, a little drizzle makes the photo all the more magical :)
Mini sessions are exactly what they sound like — a shorter, more condensed version of a full session. They’re usually offered on select dates, in a set location, and include fewer final images.
Regular sessions are more geared toward concept-driven, story-led portraiture. We have more time to build an idea, move through different settings, change things up, and create something that feels less like a standard portrait session and more like a still from your own film.
